Women

Women

“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing” (I Thessalonians 5:11).

The Antioch Women’s Ministry desires to encourage and equip the women of the body with the Word of God and for the glory of Jesus Christ. We enjoy age-integrated fellowship and encourage the young women (12+) to join us at all women’s ministry events.

The primary women’s gathering is the monthly fellowship meeting. We typically meet on the 4th Saturday morning of each month at 9:00 for breakfast, fellowship, and Bible Study. The topic of study varies, but ranges from theology and apologetics to topics more specific to women in various seasons of life. We believe in the centrality of God’s Word in our lives and strive to choose study materials that are Gospel-focused and profitable for all the women of the church.

  • Annual Women’s Retreat: Each Spring, the women spend a weekend away at the beach enjoying fellowship and studying God’s Word. It is a fun event that encourages the women to build deeper relationships outside the stresses of everyday life.
  • Women’s Christmas Dinner: Each December, we gather to enjoy a beautiful catered dinner while we share what the Lord has been teaching us throughout the year.
  • Weekly Bible Studies: Occasionally a member will suggest a book to study and organize a short-term weekly Bible study with any women that are interested. These studies typically last for 8-12 weeks.
  • Accountability Partners: We encourage the women to develop close relationships for mutual support and prayer. Though there is no formal process in place, many of the women in the church desire to cultivate these types of relationships. If you are yearning for an accountability partner, be proactive in asking a friend to join you for regular times of discussion, prayer, and encouragement. If you would like help finding an accountability partner, please ask one of the elder’s or deacon’s wives to pray with you in asking the Lord to direct you to someone.

Much of the ministry and mentoring for our women happens organically as we develop relationships with one another across various ages and seasons of life. We welcome you to experience this with us.
